Coil incense requires a proper heat-resistant holder to burn completely without going out. Place the coil flat on the included burner surface with airflow beneath it. Do not place directly on wood or paper surfaces.

How to use
Set the coil flat inside a heat-resistant coil holder — the Mount Fuji Burner or Zen Maple Burner work perfectly. The holder must allow airflow beneath the coil.
Hold a flame to the outer tip of the coil until it catches and begins to glow.
Gently blow out — the coil should smolder slowly, releasing a steady stream of fragrant smoke.
Each coil burns for approximately 4 hours. Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from flammable materials and out of reach of children and pets.

My coil keeps going out — what am I doing wrong?
The most common reason is insufficient airflow beneath the coil. Make sure the coil is resting on a holder that lifts it slightly off the base surface, allowing air to circulate underneath. If the coil sits flat on a solid surface with no airflow, it will extinguish itself.
