The story · 雪中春信

Frost Bloom is based on "Xue Zhong Chun Xin" (雪中春信) — "spring news in the snow", a classic Song Dynasty incense recipe. It captures the moment plum trees bloom while winter still lingers.

The Heritage Collection

Inspired by classic Chinese incense recipes once treasured by scholars and artists. Heritage sticks are longer (21cm), thinner and gentler than everyday incense. The aroma is soft and subtle — it settles into the room quietly instead of filling it all at once.

The scent

Floral · Refresh · Gentle
Plum blossom, clove, borneol, agarwood and sandalwood — no added fragrance. Cool, clean and lightly sweet.

Why you'll love it

• A poetic floral — plum blossom and a cool touch of borneol, balanced by agarwood and sandalwood.
• Made for creative time — a clear, gentle scent for painting, calligraphy, writing or music.
• Long, slow burn — each 21cm stick burns for 30–40 minutes.
• Gift-ready — 55–60 sticks in a sturdy hard box, with a 9-hole brass holder included.

When to use it

• Painting and calligraphy — a quiet, inspired desk.
• Music practice — guqin, piano or simply listening.
• Tea time — pairs beautifully with green or white tea.
• Spring mornings — a fresh start to the day.

Frost or Pear?

Frost Bloom is cool, clean and floral, for creative moments. Pear Night is sweet, fruity and cosy — our best seller, perfect for evenings.

How to use

• Light — light the tip and let it burn for a few seconds.
• Blow out — gently blow out the flame so only a glowing ember and smoke remain.
• Rest — insert the stick into the included brass holder.
• Enjoy — about 30–40 minutes of soft, slow-burning fragrance.

Frequently asked

Why is the scent so soft?
That's the Heritage style — thin sticks and a traditional recipe for a gentle, refined aroma rather than a strong, room-filling scent.

Does the brass holder fit these thin sticks?
Yes. The 9-hole brass holder fits 1.7mm sticks, and also works with thicker incense. For a longer ash catcher, try our wooden incense tray.
