What it's used for: a second-step ritual after a plain white sage cleanse — clearing first, then inviting in positive energy — plus everyday smoke cleansing, crystal cleansing, and marking new beginnings (new job, new home). Once you cut the string and burn it loose, it also gives a longer, continuous burn similar to dry-burning loose herbs.

How to use

• Burn it — Hold over a fireproof bowl at a slight downward angle. Light the tip and hold the flame for about 20–30 seconds until you see a red ember, then keep the flame on it for another 10 seconds before blowing out — pulling away too soon is the most common reason a bundle won't stay lit. The orange peel adds a brief citrus note as it catches before settling into the fuller sage smoke. Fully lit, one light gives you around 2–3 minutes of steady smoke. A little black smoke right after blowing out is normal and clears in a second or two.
• Loosen it for a longer burn — Cut the string and let the leaves fall open in your fireproof bowl, then light loosely: with more surface area exposed, it can burn continuously for about 5 minutes instead of needing to be relit.
• Relight as needed — The same bundle can be relit many times — you don't need to burn through it all in one sitting. Press the lit end into a bowl to extinguish safely, then store and relight later.
• After clearing — Use White Sage & Orange after a plain white sage cleanse to invite in positive, uplifting energy. Think of it as the second step: clear first, then welcome.
