Why Omani frankincense specifically
The Dhofar region of Oman has been the most prized source of frankincense for thousands of years, central to the historic frankincense trade routes across Arabia. Boswellia sacra resin from this region is widely regarded by perfumers and aromatherapists as the benchmark for quality — a more complex, less sharp aroma than frankincense from other origins. How this differs from other "frankincense oil" on the market
- Boswellia sacra vs. Boswellia serrata. Much of the more affordable "frankincense oil" on the market is Boswellia serrata from India — a different species with a simpler, more piney profile and a significantly lower price. Ours is Boswellia sacra from Oman, the historically premium species and origin.
- Resin quality varies widely. Frankincense resin is graded, and lower grades (often with more bark and impurities) produce a harsher, less refined oil. Higher-grade resin is used for genuine premium frankincense oil.
- Not cut or diluted. Ours is 100% undiluted essential oil, nothing blended in.
What "pure essential oil" actually means
Pure means exactly one thing: this bottle contains only steam-distilled frankincense oil — nothing else. No carrier oil, no synthetic reconstruction, no fragrance additives. Because it's a real resin extract, you may notice small, natural variations in scent intensity between harvests — a sign of authenticity, not inconsistency.
Ways to use it
Diffuser
3–5 drops per 100ml of water, or 20–30 drops in the Siphon Nebulizer — a natural fit for meditation or wind-down time.
Lava Stone
Drop 3–5 drops onto lava stones for 24–48 hours of passive, electricity-free fragrance.
Inhalation
1 drop on a tissue or your palms, cup over your nose, and breathe deeply before meditation or prayer.
Topical
Dilute 2–3 drops per teaspoon of carrier oil before applying to skin, such as wrists or the back of the neck.

Why is frankincense oil more expensive than other essential oils?
Genuine Boswellia sacra resin is harvested by hand from wild trees in a limited growing region, and yields are low relative to the resin volume — all of which keeps supply tight and prices higher than more commonly farmed oils.
Is this the same as the cheaper frankincense oil I've seen elsewhere?
Probably not — most budget frankincense oil is Boswellia serrata from India, a different species with a simpler scent. This bottle is Boswellia sacra from Oman, the historically premium origin and species.
Which diffuser pairs best with this oil?

Can I apply this directly to skin?
Not undiluted. Mix 2–3 drops with a teaspoon of carrier oil first. Never apply undiluted essential oil near the eyes or on broken skin.
